Matt Gaetz served as the U.S. representative for Florida’s 1st congressional district from 2017-2024.
Gaetz is accused of child sex trafficking, statutory rape, underage sexual abuse, illegal drug use, misusing state identification records, converting campaign funds for personal use, and accepting impermissible gifts.
He’s also Trump’s pick for Attorney General.
In 2021, the House began an ethics investigation of Gaetz. That investigation never released its findings, because Gaetz resigned days before it was expected to be released.
